As we increase workforce numbers with Welsh language skills, it will be necessary to refine the
role of the professional translator. Growth of bilingual working will enable translation services
to focus on their
appropriate remit, apply professional linguistic skills appropriately, and potentially increase their
capacity to add value.
Our aim: ensure the continued development of Welsh
language infrastructure (dictionaries, terminology, the
translation profession) as integral to the delivery of this
strategy.
