the purpose of supervision on operations stipulated under Article 21 to a Designated
Corporation when deemed necessary for the purpose of enforcing this law.
(Cancelation of designation, etc.)
Article 30
Section 1
The Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Minister of Education, Culture,
Sports, Science and Technology shall have the right to cancel the designation issued
according to stipulations of Section 1 under Article 20, if a Designated Corporation
corresponds to any of the descriptions provided by the following paragraphs.
(1) The corporation violates this law or an order based on this law.
(2) The corporation becomes an entity that is potentially unable to appropriately and
reliably implement operations stipulated under Article 21.
(3) The corporation conducts management operation of the Facilities That Comprise Space
That Symbolize Symbiosis of Ethnic Groups, for which a certification was received
based on stipulations of Section 1 under Article 22, in deviation from the Management
Operation Regulation for Facilities That Comprise Space That Symbolize Symbiosis of
Ethnic Groups.
(4) The corporation violates an order based on stipulations in Section 3 under Article 22,
Section 2 under Article 27 or the preceding article.
(5) The corporation fails to conduct management operation for Facilities That Comprise
Space That Symbolize Symbiosis of Ethnic Groups without a justifiable cause.
Section 2
The Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Minister of Education, Culture,
Sports, Science and Technology must publicly announce any cancellation of designation
granted based on stipulations in Section 1 under Article 20, due to the stipulation of the

preceding section.
(Interim measures for cancellation of designation)
Article 31
Section 1
In the event a designation granted according to stipulations of Section 1 Article 20 is
canceled according to the stipulation of Section 1 of the preceding article, and when the
Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Minister of Education, Culture,
Sports, Science and Technology newly designate another corporation after such a
cancellation, then assets associated with the management operation of the Facilities That
Comprise Space That Symbolize Symbiosis of Ethnic Groups shall be attributed to the
newly Designated Corporation.
Section 2
Other than the stipulations provided by the preceding section, interim measures for the
management of assets and other requirements relating to the Facilities That Comprise
Space That Symbolize Symbiosis of Ethnic Groups (including interim measures associated
with penal provisions) for which the designation granted according to the stipulation of
Section 1 Article 20 was canceled according to stipulation of Section 1 in the preceding
article, shall be decided by Cabinet order made to within the range deemed necessary for
practical reasons.
